Otázky v present simple: Do you…? Does she…?

Jak se tvoří otázky v present simpleHow to make present simple questions

Každá otázka v přítomném čase prostém má stejné pořadí slov. Tázací slovo je jen tehdy, když se neptáš na „ano, nebo ne“. Sloveso je vždy v základním tvaru — bez -s.

Every present simple question has the same word order. You only add a question word when the answer is not just “yes” or “no”. The verb is always in its base form — no -s.

a všechno v množném čísle, i bez -s: Do your parents drive? Do the children like it?and anything plural, even without -s: Do your parents drive? Do the children like it?

does — he, she, it

a jedna osoba nebo věc. Koncové -s se přestěhuje do does: she works → Does she work?and one person or thing. The -s moves to does: she works → Does she work?

Pozor na podměty, které česky zní jinak: children, people jsou množné číslo → do; everybody, my family jsou jednotné → does.

Does she work, ne does she works: sloveso bez -sDoes she work, not does she works

V oznamovací větě má he/she/it -s: She works. V otázce si ho vezme does a sloveso zůstane v základním tvaru: Does she work? Stejně has → Does she have?, studies → Does he study?

In a statement, he/she/it takes -s: She works. In a question does takes it and the verb stays in its base form: Does she work? Same with has → Does she have?, studies → Does he study?

Krátká odpověď opakuje jen do/does, sloveso ne: Do you like it? — Yes, I do. (ne Yes, I like.)
